SLIM DOWN & TONE UP CHALLENGES: START ON 19TH NOVEMBER

Do you want maximum motivation to lose weight, slim down or just tone up? Do you want to meet the guidelines for exercise & reduce your risk of life threatening illnesses eg Heart Disease (biggest killer worldwide), Stroke, Depression, Osteoarthritis, Bowel Cancer, Breast Cancer & Cancer of the Uterus?

Slim Down & Tone Up Challenges

When: Start on Monday 19th November
How long is it for: 12 weeks
Cost: Just £26 or FREE if you refer 6 people (you get £5 commission per person). Just send a message from your account saying who you've referred. 

What you get on your account: Go to 'Join now' to see everything before you sign up to a challenge & pay for it. Goals page where you can set weight goals or body fat goals, a Diet Tracker where you can log your food to calculate your calories or upload food photos, a Fitness Tracker page where you can see your results from your fitness tracker if you have one, a Body MOT page where you enter your weight, a Leaderboard to see what percentage of weight you've lost & what position you're in (you can use a nickname if you want to stay anonymous), Activity Wall so you can see what exercise other people are doing and a Photo timeline to upload your before/after photos. Everyone's a winner! No matter how much weight or body fat you want to lose (it could be just 1lb/0.5kg or 1% body fat!), you will win a V-Healthy T-shirt or medal for achieving your goal. We encourage you to log your food or upload photos of your food atleast 3 days/week using our diet tracker however you don't have to. The more you do it the better, as it is scientifically proven to double your chances of weight loss :D

NB YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE COMPETITIVE TO JOIN IN WITH THIS CHALLENGE - we only get a few people who join in so you stand a great chance of winning :D

 
How it works
1. Sign up to the challenge.
2. Day 1 of the challenge: online members: weigh yourself at the start of the challenge as early as possible & log your weight. Class members: get weighed at a class.
3. Take & upload 'before' photos to the photo timeline page on your account.
4. Upload photos of your food & drink 3 days/week if possible. 
5. Weigh yourself once a week on the same day of each week and at the same time as your first weigh-in. Wear the same clothes & eat & drink the same amount of food/drink before.
6. Log your weight on our website after each weigh-in or if you're a class member, your results will upload automatically.
7. Watch yourself work your way up the leaderboard.
8. Take photos of yourself after 5 weeks & on the last day of the challenge.
9. Receive your prize.

Online members need: A pair of scales that measure your weight & access to the internet to log on to your account.

Effort Points Challenges

How long are they for: 12 weeks

Everyone's a winner! Every participant who meets the guidelines for exercise wins a V-Healthy T-Shirt or medal. It's simple, you just have to be in the red or yellow zones for 75 minutes/week OR 150 minutes in the blue, green, yellow or red zones every week (most people clock this up by walking around the house & house chores eg cleaning).

How it works:

The V-Healthy Effort Points Challenge works by collecting your heart rate data after you have done an activity. You're then assigned points according to the different heart rate zones you work in. Your data is uploaded to your personal profile page on this website where you can see your results, what position you're in and loads more. Go to 'Join now' on the menu to see everything before you sign up to a challenge & pay for it. 

Anyone can win!

As it takes in to consideration your maximum heart rate, it doesn't matter how fit you are, it's all about effort. The more you put in, the more points you get.

For example, someone new to running (person A) goes for a 10 minute run with someone who has been running for years (person B). Person A has to work harder/put in more effort than person B to keep the same pace. Person A's heart rate is 80%+ of their maximum heart rate so gets 60 points. Person B's heart rate is 60-69% of their maximum heart rate so gets 20 points. Person B needs to run faster or for longer to get 60 points. See points chart below for more information
